Jimmy Christmas

Director, Professional Musician & Mentor

Jimmy Christmas leads Magnus Octopus with a unique blend of professional experience and creative passion. As guitarist, co-songwriter & lead frontman alongside cofounder Dion Lunadon for internationally acclaimed rock and roll band The D4, Jimmy has toured globally, performing at renowned festivals such as Glastonbury and Fuji Rock, sharing stages with legendary acts, Iggy Pop, The Hives & Foo Fighters – just to name a few. Following his time with The D4, Jimmy founded Luger Boa, a band that achieved critical success with charting albums and hit singles in New Zealand.
Since 2008, Jimmy has mentored youth and adults across diverse settings, combining his extensive creative background with a deep commitment to personal growth and wellbeing. From one-on-one sessions to leading groups of 30+, Jimmy has a proven ability to inspire leadership, creativity, and confidence. Currently nearing the completion of a degree in Psychology, he integrates his academic knowledge to ensure a holistic approach to mental and physical wellbeing. Jimmy fosters an environment where people of all ages can explore their potential, grow their skills, and connect creatively with their personal ‘great work’.

Ana Christmas

Director & Musician

Ana Christmas brings a rich blend of leadership, creativity, and artistic experience to her role as Director of Magnus Octopus. A musician, songwriter in her own right, and bass player for their love project Jett Generations, Ana’s passion for music and self-expression is matched by her commitment to empowering communities.

With a Master’s degree in organisational change and resilience, Ana has developed innovative approaches to fostering connection, adaptability, and wellbeing. As a former leader with Kindred Family Services, Ana spent nearly a decade advocating for mental health, family violence prevention, and wellbeing. Currently serving as CEO of The Forest Bridge Trust, she is deeply invested in fostering connection, resilience, and environmental stewardship.

Ana ensures Magnus Octopus provides an inclusive space for creativity, mentorship, and personal growth.
